It is made of cast iron, which has high compressive strength and resistance to wear, with a black finish that resists corrosion in oil and gas applications. This class 150 fitting meets standards ASTM A-196(A) and ASME B 16.4 for quality assurance. Class is a standard relating to tolerance, construction, dimension, and wall thickness, but it is not a direct measurement of maximum working pressure.
